RockD FRAME CHARACTERISTICS
The rockD is the carabiner of choice when seeking the highest strength in a standard-sized aluminum frame. The rockD carabiner serves the broadest range of specialized uses. The rockD in non-lanyard versions features a flattened shape with an i-beam profile at the bottom and top bends, giving the carabiner a sleek profile, while providing low weight and high strength characteristics.

SCREW-LOCK GATE MECHANISM
Two important features make the Rock Exotica Screw-lock unique from all others. First, all aluminum parts are anodized. This is particularly important for the screw-sleeve and gate, since without this coating, it is more susceptible to corrosion. This protective surface also gives the sleeve a smoother spin.
Second, the gate was designed with an enlarged flange at the top. This prevents the screw-sleeve from moving past the end of the gate, whereas with other designs, the sleeve can wear past the last thread of the gate and slip off.

AUTO-LOCK GATE MECHANISM
The 3-stage Autocking carabiner features a pull-down and twist action — a motion that’s more intuitive and natural for your hand than lifting up and away from your palm.
We identified several surfaces where ropes and lanyards can be held up by the edges of the gate and sleeve, which can lead to dangerous cross-loading. The auto-lock gate sleeve is designed with beveled edges to minimize this risk and provide a smoother interior for interaction with the materials connected to the carabiner.

ROCK EXOTICA rockD Carabiner 
Overall experience on the site was not terrible however, I was not aware the package would be sent by USPS as a fire department we have mail at a post office box. A physical address was given expecting it to be deliver by UPS or Fedex. Package was held at the post office about to be returned, had not I gone to check and pick it up.
